Livspace designer Divyalakshmi S tells us how she worked the gorgeous views of the park fronting this ready-to-move-in New Delhi apartment to create a living space infused with effortless charm.

Effortless luxury defines the interiors of this plush, two-bedroom residential apartment in Sarvpriya Vihar, New Delhi. Overlooking a gorgeous park, this apartment plays up the lush views with huge picture windows and provides potential buyers with a serene indoor ambiance.
Set in neutral tones and adorned with carefully curated modern furniture, the living area echoes a refined look. The dining area is tastefully furnished with dining table and chairs in a neutral palette, set atop a floral carpet. Subtle touches such as the nail-head trim on the chairs and muted floral upholstery of the diwan gently catch your attention as you survey the space.
The master bedroom is strikingly put together with a striped accent wall and complementing pops of colour on the turquoise headboard and floral artwork. The guest bedroom is masterfully anchored by the exquisite accent wall, with wallpaper that mimics cut-out ceramic tiles.
“For the living room, we used mid-century style furniture with distinct silhouettes. There are also anchoring elements in the form of a sturdy coffee table and a TV unit with concealed storage. “The most difficult part was to bring a smooth transition of living room to the dining space; they had to complement each other in terms of color palette and design elements. So, we used furnishings in neutral tones of cream, dove grey, and off-whites with pops of terracotta. The generous view of the trees makes becomes a dynamic backdrop for this tranquil space.”
“The warm tones of the master bedroom is cleverly punctuated with vibrant pops of turquoise in the headboard and accent pieces, candy striped accent walls and floral artwork. An ottoman set in the corner, becomes a quiet spot for reading and contemplation.” – Divyalakshmi S

“The guest bedroom is similar to the master bedroom, with its huge picture windows and neutral colour palette, but its real attention grabbing feature is the bold accent wall with unique wallpaper that looks like broken blue china. We chose a bed with a graphic black and white headboard to play up the walls.”
