Located close to Bannerghatta road, one of the busiest hubs of the city, this home feels like a comforting solace from the fast-paced outdoors. It might be small in terms of square footage for a three-bedroom apartment, but every corner of this well-designed home makes a big impact — all thanks to Livspace interior designer Suman J.
With a soothing color palette, interesting textures and smart storage solutions, Suman weaved a home that feels beautifully put together and pleasantly surprises you at every turn.
Pops of red and blue have a cohesive effect and energise this light-filled, breezy living room
With its pragmatic layout and pared back style, the living room gives a nod to Scandinavian design. Rich wood finishes, clean-lined furniture and plenty of natural light add to the look.
Suman says that it made the most sense to choose muted furnishings here. In case one wants a makeover, all they would need to do is change the smaller add-ons like art prints, cushions, throw rugs, decorative accents etc.
A beautiful backlit jali ceiling visually demarcates the dining area from the kitchen. The zen-styled dining set blends in perfectly with the modern theme.
When it comes to entertaining friends and family, the dining room inevitably becomes the most lived-in spot at home and every inch of this open kitchen-cum-dining area is designed keeping ergonomics in mind.
The large display unit has plenty of space for showing off decorative accents and keeping crockery, cutlery, stemware etc. close at hand.
Doused entirely in beige overtones, this kitchen is given a dynamic dimension with the lightly cerused backsplash
Seamless drawers and cabinets in a glossy finish give this slim U-shape kitchen an uncluttered feel. With double-level cabinetry, the kitchen maximises on storage and makes good use of height.
Outfitted with modern appliances like baking and microwave ovens, chimney, integrated hob and a sink with drainage tray, this compact kitchen is as efficient as any regular sized kitchen.
Breaking away from the sea of neutrals and offering interesting contrast in the master bedroom is the ceiling panel with integrated lighting
The master bedroom dons a sophisticated look with its creamy off-whites and classy bed. The sliding wardrobe with a reflective surface makes the room appear larger than what it is while providing plentiful storage.
A compact dressing area complete with drawers, cabinets and niches gives plenty of scope for keeping personal items organised.
The guest bedroom feels as welcoming as ever with its warm, wood finished surfaces
For guests, this bedroom serves as the perfect respite. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of light so the space feels lively throughout the day. The slim table at the entertainment centre works as the perfect perch for keeping books, bags and other knickknacks.
The kid’s room, with its playful wallpaper, drapes and funky ceiling instantly brings a smile to the face
Large mirrors, under-basin storage and floating shelves convert these small bathrooms into effective spaces for personal pampering
Muted hues have a timeless effect and it worked beautifully with the contemporary theme. The result is a clean and approachable home that will leave a lasting impression.
