3. Does Livspace offer warranty on services? What does it cover?

Livspace is the only branded player that offers a warranty for a period of up to one year on on-site services, including painting, gypsum false ceiling, electrical work and plumbing work. 

4. How can I claim warranty?

You can call on 1800-309-0930 or email us at care@livspace.com to register your warranty claim. Alternatively, you can raise a service ticket through My Account.

5. What are the prerequisites of the Livspace warranty?

In the event of repair, Livspace Warranty is valid only if you possess a digital or physical proof of complete payment, and/ or you have signed the handover document at the time of installation.

6. What if I lose my bill or Livsapce warranty e-book?

Don’t worry! In case you lose your physical customer contract or Livspace Warranty E-book, you can request the information by contacting Livspace customer support.

7. Can I renew my warranty once it expires?

No. Currently, we are not offering any extension or renewal of Livspace Warranty.

8. Will I be charged if I need any services after the end of the Livspace Warranty period?

We are happy to provide after-sales services even after your Livspace Warranty period expires. The service charges would be minimal and; material charges may be incurred (if anything needs to be replaced).

9. Are customised products, provided by Livspace covered under Livspace Warranty?

Customised products offered by Livspace are not covered under Livspace Warranty.

10. Are decor products and accessories provided by Livspace covered under Livspace Warranty?

Some decor products and accessories may or may not come under manufacturer warranty, depending on the products. Please speak to a Livspace authorised representative to find the manufacturer’s warranty period of any such product, not listed above.

11. How should I notify Livspace regarding any damage?

Notify Livspace via phone (1800-309-0930) or email (care@livspace.com) within 3 days of any defect that comes to notice, such as visual damage or malfunctioning component. Notification post the stipulated time, can void the Livspace warranty.

1. Livspace will honor its warranty when

  • The product supplied and installed is properly maintained and used for normal domestic use.
  • The product is still owned by the original purchaser.
  • The product is still at it's original installed position and location.
  • The warranty has not expired, subject to limitations set forth through Livspace terms & conditions.

2. Livspace warranty does not include

  • Any labour, installation or transportation costs or any responsibility for damage that Livspace considers as natural wear and tear of finishes and surfaces.
  • Any products used or installed in conjugation with Livspace kitchen/ wardrobe/  modular storage such as electrical & plumbing fixtures, countertops and appliances. Any use of Livspace cabinetry or component parts which are contrary to instructions furnished by Livspace will void this warranty.
  • Any cabinetry or component parts that Livspace considers to have been subject to alteration, modification, accident, abnormal use, extreme temperatures and continuous contact with water, high moisture levels or use of harsh and/or abrasive cleaning chemicals.
  • Normal incidental deterioration like nicks, cuts, scratches and abrasions which are resulting from normal use during the standard life of the product.

3. Livspace will not be held responsible for any claims arising out of defects due to material or workmanship of products not listed under claim terms.

4. Livspace warranty does not cover natural wear and tear or damage caused by rough handling or using the product beyond its intended use.

5. Livspace reserves the right to alter specifications in keeping with its policy of continuous product evaluation and improvement.

6. The scope of Livspace warranty cannot be changed or broadened by any authorized representative of Livspace.

7. Repair(s) and/or replacement(s) are subject to the current product offerings of styles and construction options within the Livspace product line, at the time of the claim. If a claim is filed after a Livspace product becomes obsolete or discontinued, Livspace will replace the affected component with a replacement component of a similar style based on availability at the time of the claim.

8. Notify Livspace via phone or email within 10 days of any defect that comes to notice, such as visual damage or malfunctioning component. Notification post the stipulated time, will void the Livspace warranty.

9. Any decision regarding repair of the said component (in part or whole) solely lies with the authorized Livspace representative. The decision will be made following an inspection by the representative whether to repair at site, or return product to the factory for refurbishing/ replacement.

10. Liability: Livspace will make all efforts to replace/ repair the said defect within a reasonable period of time. Livspace will not be liable for any direct/indirect loss to the user due to the defect or delay in providing the service, or any fault arising due to design, application or installation. In no event shall the  liability of Livspace, under this warranty, exceed the purchase price of the product or its replacement.

11. The warranty is not renewed in cases where the Livspace modular cabinets or components are replaced in part or whole during the said warranty period. The replaced parts will continue to be covered under our warranty only till the remainder of the period as indicated in its respective table. Barring components which carry a lifetime warranty, the warranty for any product under any circumstances will not exceed a period of 10 years (for modular wardrobes & storage) and 10 years (for kitchens) from the date of possession.

12. The terms and conditions are governed by the laws of India. Bengaluru courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any claim or dispute which might arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.

Furniture

Sofas

1. To know the brand of your product, please refer to the products attributes/information or speak to your authorized Livspace representative.

2. Livspace warranty does not cover upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions and foam, color fading from sunlight, damage caused by rough handling and use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents or improper use and maintenance.

3. This warranty is applicable on sofas including but not limited to 1,2, 3 seater sofas, sectionals, ottomans and sofa cum beds.

4. Lifetime warranty on any borer/termite issues in solid wood furniture by the brand 'Livspace'.

5. Notify Livspace within 10 days of detecting any defect via phone or email.

All other furniture

1. This warranty is applicable on all other furniture by the brand  ‘Livspace’ and Brand Partners. To know the brand of your product, please refer to the product attributes/information, or speak to your authorized Livspace representative.

2. Livspace warranty does not cover upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions and foam, color fading from sunlight, damage caused by rough handling and use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents, or improper use and maintenance.

3. The following are not considered as defects: natural wood characteristics such as variations in grain, color, mineral streaks and knots.

4. This warranty is applicable for furniture including but not limited to upholstered furniture, solid wood furniture, coffee tables, beds, headboards, dining tables and chairs, accent chairs, metal furniture and outdoor furniture.

5. Brand Partners may offer additional warranty on certain products or parts of the furniture. Please contact an authorized Livspace representative to know more.

6. Lifetime warranty on any borer/termite issues in solid wood furniture by the brand ‘Livspace’.

7. Notify Livspace within 10 days of detecting any defect via phone or email.

On-site services

1. This warranty shall begin on “the commence date” that the consumer telephonically lodges his warranty policy with Livspace by contacting us on 1800-309-0930 and furnishing all the purchase and personal details requested by Livspace. In order for this warranty policy to be valid, the registration needs to be done within 7 (seven) days from the day of handover of the project or the day the customer moves in, whichever is earlier. 

2. After settlement of any claim, the warranty period will not start afresh.

3. This warranty is governed by the clauses mentioned in Livspace 146-point Quality Standards.

4. Livspace shall provide replacement only after inspection.

5. Livspace shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damages to the customer. The customer's exclusive and sole remedy under this warranty policy shall be as mentioned here in this clause.

6. Livspace is not liable to provide any alternative accommodation during any repair work. Customers shall make their own arrangements, if required.

7. The warranty policy shall not cover any defects arising out of factors out of control of Livspace, including but not limited to:

  • Natural calamities such as earthquakes, cyclones
  • Vandalism 
  • Acts of God
  • Abuse or negligence by the customer 
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Surface with contaminants 
  • Failure or defects in the structure or previous coating
  • Any other external factors

8.  Any claim made in terms of this warranty policy shall be made within 30 days of the consumer discovering any defect, damage or failure which gives rise to a claim.

9. Livspace reserves the right to carry out inspections and to perform any tests, and may do so either itself or by means of any person nominated by it. Prior to such inspection or testing, the customer shall not be entitled to perform any repairs or remove or tamper with any part of the product/ service.

10. Livspace shall use its best endeavours to ensure that the repair work is completed as soon as possible, but does not assume liability for delay in this respect.

11. Livspace, in it's sole creation is entitled to

  • Control/monitor repair which is to be carried out in accordance with all its specifications and instructions.
  • Appoint a contractor and/or approve the contractor appointed by the customer.

12. Livspace is liable to process and execute any genuine repair or replacement request made by the customer within the warranty timeline in coordination with the respective brand.

13. Any additional charges including work done over and above fixing the identified defect will be chargeable by the brand. The cost of these additional charges is to be borne by the customer.

14. There are no warranties expressed or implied under law, which extend beyond the terms set out in this warranty document.

15. Neither party shall commence any court or arbitration proceedings related to the above warranty policy before completing the entire evaluation process. Under such circumstances, the warranty policy will be considered null and void as the issue would be sub judice.

16. In case of any disputes, the same is subject to the exclusive Jurisdiction of the courts of the respective cities.

17. The facts and all matters concerning any dispute will be kept confidential by both the customer and Livspace at all times.

18. The customer is expected to provide the painter(s) with basic necessities as a stool/ladder, bucket and water (to mix the paint) at the site.

19. Any decision regarding repair of the said component (in part or whole) solely lies with the authorized Livspace representative. The decision will be made following an inspection by the representative.

20. The cost of dismantling, reassembly & relocation of product, wherever required, will be borne by the customer. As a standard practice, Livspace will cover the product with protective covering, wherever required.

21. Repair(s) are subject to the current product offerings of styles and construction options within the Livspace product line, at the time of the claim. If a claim is filed after a Livspace product becomes obsolete or discontinued, Livspace will replace the affected component with a replacement component of a similar style/make based on availability at the time of the claim.

Painting

If a defect is found upon inspection by a company authorized representative, the defect will be rectified in accordance with the claim terms below.

The warranty policy shall apply where: 

1. The overall paint surface area exceeds 500 sq ft, subject to satisfactory inspection of the surface painted by Livspace’s representative.

2. Livspace shall provide replacement paint, as long as the particular paint code (paint code is necessary) is not discontinued by the manufacturer

3. Paint failure shall mean any of the following occurrences

  • a. Film integrity, flaking and peeling of the paint, caused by one coat of paint coming off from another or the paint film coming off from the substrate
  • b. Fading of the colour shade
  • c. Growth of fungus and algae on wall surfaces (spread over a minimum area of 10 sq. feet)

4. The customer has used the entire paint system recommended by Livspace. An undercoat of primer along with two coats of putty and 2-3 coats of the paint on all surfaces.

The warranty policy shall be void in the following events:

  • 1. Intermittent dripping of water due to proximity of vegetation or air-conditioning units or any other sources of water leakage like plant pots.
  • 2. Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface.
  • 3. Defects arising due to contamination of surface and failure/defects in the structure.

The replacement cost includes the cost of paint and labour required to set right the area of paint failure, at the time of claim lodged

In coastal areas fading and chalking occur with all surfaces. Within normal limits this is not considered as a failure.

Damage caused to the painted surface due to fire, excessive heat exposure, corrosive agents, abrasive materials or by the customer including without limitation due to rework/fitting work done by the customer after handover.

Gypsum false ceiling

If a defect is found upon inspection by a company authorized representative, the defect will be rectified in accordance with the claim terms below.

The warranty policy shall apply where : 

1. The overall false ceiling surface area exceeds 150 sq ft, subject to satisfactory inspection of the surface by Livspace’s representative.

2. Livspace shall repair and provide labour for re-application of the paint coat, as may be necessary to set right the false ceiling failure in the affected portion only.

3. False ceiling failure shall mean any of the following occurrences:

  • Board integrity, flaking and peeling of the joint compound or coming off from the substrate.
  • Cracks on the surface.
  • Growth of fungus and algae on ceiling surfaces(spread over a minimum area of 5 sq feet)

4.  The customer has used the entire false ceiling system recommended and executed by Livspace. The false ceiling should have been done with the usage of Livspace approved brands and all materials utilized shall be of the same manufacturer. Any mix use of other brands shall make the warranty null and void.

The warranty policy shall be void in the following events:

  • Intermittent dripping of water due to proximity of vegetation or air-conditioning units or any other sources of water leakage or dampness. 
  • Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface. 
  • Physical damage to the surface with an external force or entity.
  • Defects arising due to failure or defects in the structure to which ceiling is anchored.

The warranty will be applicable for standard quality Gypsum ceiling for a period of 6 months only.

In coastal areas fading and chalking occur with all surface. Within normal limits this is not considered as a failure.

Electrical

If a defect is found upon inspection by a company authorized representative, the defect will be rectified in accordance with the claim terms below.

The warranty policy shall apply where:

1. The overall electrical work carried out exceeds a value of INR 50,000 subject to no voltage fluctuation or no input power source issue checked by Livspace’s representative.

2. Livspace will provide replacement, as long as the particular material is not discontinued by the manufacturer, and labour for re-application, as may be necessary to set right the electrical failure.

3. Throughout this warranty policy document the words "electrical failure" shall mean any of the following occurring, subject to the other conditions stated in this document

  • Electrical short circuit/ tripping.
  • Loose contacts in the plugs/ switches.

4. The customer has used the entire electrical wiring recommended and laid by Livspace provided the customer had used appropriate appliances in the usage ports/ points.

The warranty policy will not cover any defects arising out of factors out of control of Livspace, including but not limited to

  • Improper power input to the mains.
  • Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface.
  • Electrical failures due to physical damage of conduits, wires, switches and plates.
  • Issues in the power input source.
  • Electrical works been repaired by any other representative other than company representative.
  • Inappropriate usage of the electrical points and appliances.

The replacement cost will include the cost of electrical items including wiring, switches, conduits (if any) and labour required to set right the concerned failure only, at the time of lodgement of claim.

Plumbing

If a defect is found upon inspection by a company authorized representative, the defect will be rectified without charge, in accordance with the claim terms below.

The warranty policy shall apply where:

1. The overall plumbing work carried out exceeds a value of INR 50,000 subject to satisfactory inspection by Livspace's representative.

2. Livspace will provide replvacement/rectification, as long as the particular plumbing material is not discontinued by the manufacturer.

3. Plumbing failure shall mean any of the following occurring

  • Leakage in plumbing or sanitary pipes.
  • Plumbing and sanitary pipe manufacturing defect
  • Plumbing failure shall not deal with the plumbing fixtures including taps, faucets, nozzles, water closets, showers, angle valves etc.

4. The customer has used the entire plumbing system installed by Livspace.

The warranty policy will not cover any defects arising out of factors out of control of Livspace, including but not limited to:

  • Improper quality of water supply to the property.
  • Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface.
  • Plumbing failures due to physical damage or mishandling.
  • Plumbing works been repaired by any other representative other than company representative.
  • Surface with contaminants.

The replacement cost includes the cost of plumbing pipes/accessories and labour required to set right the concerned failure only, at the time of lodgement of claim.

Home improvement solutions

1. Decor and home improvement products include but are not limited to furnishings, wallpapers, panelling, cladding, lighting, fittings and appliances.

2. Warranty is at the sole discretion of the manufacturer/brand. Livspace will not be held liable for any dispute arising between the manufacturer and the buyer.

3. Notify Livspace within 10 days of detecting any defect via phone or email.

Livspace assured Partner warranty

Goods and Services sold and/or facilitated by Livspace PTE. LTD., or its affiliates and subsidiary companies (“Livspace”, “Company”, “Us” and “We”).  The Customers (“You”, “Your”) have sought the goods and services sold and/or facilitated by the Company and are expressly subjected to all the Terms and Conditions available on Livspace website. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Livspace makes no warranties, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, except as specifically set forth herein.

What is covered under this Warranty:

“Livpreneur” is our verified and authorized service expert. Livpreneur supplies Products, honors the Product related warranty and caters to Livspace and its customers in the capacity of an Independent contractor. The Livpreneur services work covered under this policy will be applicable for a period of one year against manufacturing defects only, the Company will not be responsible for any extended/additional warranty provided by the Livpreneur which exceeds the initial warranty period of one year:

The cost indicates the overall repair/service charges.

The category of services i.e., Woodwork (Modular/Factory-made Carpentry/Onsite Carpentry), Painting, False ceiling (Gypsum), Electrical, and Plumbing will hereinafter be referred to as “Product” in this warranty. 

Warranty Commencement Date: The warranty will be applicable on Livpreneur service work starting from the move-in date or handover date (whichever is earlier). 

Warranty Applicability:

  • You shall register a warranty claim with the Livspace team within three (3) days from the date of discovery of damage or defect to the Product(s). If the Product is confirmed to be defective upon inspection by a company-authorized representative, the defective part will be replaced without charge and/or in accordance with the claim terms.
  • The warranty will be honored only on the following conditions:
    - The Product supplied and installed is cared for, handled and maintained as per the care instructions, used for its designated purpose and used under regular domestic use.
    - The Customer must have a warranty card or a valid proof of purchase (invoice or work order), which must be shown to avail the warranty.  If the Customer has any difficulty obtaining assistance, please write to: care@livspace.com.
    - The Product is still owned by the original purchaser.
    - The Product is at its original/initial installed position and location.
    - The warranty has not expired, subject to the limitations set forth in the Terms & Conditions.
  • Repair(s) and/or replacement(s) are subject to the current Product offerings of styles and construction options available in the market, at the time of the claim. If a claim is filed after a Product becomes obsolete or discontinued, the affected component will be replaced with a component of a similar style based on availability at the time of the claim. The decision to repair/replace any part or complete Product will be at the sole discretion of the Company based on the report submitted by the Company’s service representative. In the event, repair work been done to a Product without any authorization from Livspace, the Product’s warranty coverage is automatically deemed void.

Sole and Exclusive Remedy: 

In the event of a defect in the workmanship or materials of a Product or Product component occurring during the warranty period described above, Livspace/Livpreneur will, at our option, repair or replace any defective Product or Product component; provided, if it is not commercially feasible to repair or replace a defective Product or Product component, Livspace/Livpreneur may refund the original price paid by You for the defective Product or Product component, or provide a credit towards a similar type of Product sold by Us. The foregoing are Your sole and exclusive remedies for any Product defect or non-conformity. By way of example but not limitation, the following costs and expenses are not covered by this Limited Warranty:

 (1) labor costs for the original installation, removal, or reinstallation of the Product, or defective part thereof; 

(2) labor costs or material charges for the removal, reinstallation, repainting, refinishing or replacement of any other items or building materials which must be removed, replaced, reinstalled, or refinished in order to repair or replace the defective Product or component. Further, We reserve the right to modify or alter any Product design, specifications or materials without obligation to make similar changes to Products previously manufactured or sold by Us. The repair or replacement remedies offered by Us under this Limited Warranty are contingent on the current Product offerings of styles and construction options within our Product line at the time a warranty claim is made by You. If a valid warranty claim is filed for an obsolete Product, We reserve the right, at our sole option, to honor its repair or replacement obligations under this Limited Warranty by replacing the affected Product or component with a new Product or component with a similar/ comparable Product. If a Product or components are replaced or repaired, We cannot guarantee an exact match with the finish or appearance of other Products/ fixtures installed at Your dwelling. 

Categories of Service Work covered under this warranty: 

Custom Woodwork:

  • This warranty is applicable for furniture including but not limited to upholstered furniture, solid wood furniture, coffee tables, beds, headboards, dining tables and chairs, accent chairs, metal furniture and outdoor furniture.
  • The following are not considered as defects: natural wood characteristics such as variations in grain, color, mineral streaks and knots. 
  • The replacement laminates/finishes (if applicable) shall be provided, as long as the particular laminate/finish (finish details are necessary) are available in the market. 
  • Any claim made in terms of this Warranty shall be made within three (3) days of the consumer discovering any defect, damage or failure which gives rise to a claim within the warranty period. 
  • The labor rate will be determined by Livspace and it will be a reflection of the current prevailing market labor rates and the same will not be disputed by You, at any point of time. The labor rate may be determined on the basis of a per sq. ft. rate or on a daily wages rate
  • The warranty will cover the following defects only:
    - Bulging of core material.
    - Bubble formation in top finish.
    - Surface peel off.
    - Patches formation in polish.
    - Malfunctioning of hardware.
    - Any other manufacturing defects approved by Us
  • The warranty does not cover:
    - Upholstery, normal wear and tear, softening or flattening of cushions and foam, color fading from sunlight, damage caused by rough handling, abuse, negligence, alterations ,  use of abrasives, corrosive materials, cleaning agents, or improper use and maintenance;
    - Any cabinetry or component parts that have been subject to alteration, modification, accident, abnormal use, extreme temperatures and continuous contact with water, high moisture levels or use of harsh and/or abrasive cleaning chemicals;
    - Used for purposes for which it is not designed or intended by Us;
    - Does not cover cosmetic damage, including cuts or scratches, dents, damage caused by accidents/ impacts, waterborne debris or damage caused by non-compliance with maintenance guidelines;
    - It does not cover any fault arising in the Product due to tampering, repairs, modifications, alterations or dismantlement caused by any unauthorized personnel;
    - Does not apply to damage due to any work carried out in the kitchen area post completion of installation of the kitchen;
    - Damage caused or contributed to by the removal of the cabinets following initial installation;
    - Wood will continue to expand and contract with seasonal changes therefore hairline cracks at door joints and movement of wood panels are characteristic of wood cabinetry and are not eligible for warranty.There is no warranty coverage for warping, cracking or shrinking of doors resulting from inappropriate humidity levels (Relative Humidity of 40%-50% should be maintained throughout the year).Natural woods will vary in color and characteristics. Warranty does not cover Products purchased without a finish.  Color changes in wood due to sunlight, household cleaners, smoke and other environmental conditions may be apparent over time, as these changes are customary for wood. These color deviations are not eligible for warranty. Replacement or add on parts may not match the original cabinetry due to these changes.
    - Damage caused or contributed to by events outside Livspace’s control including but not limited to Acts of God, fire, explosion, contact with corrosive matter, extreme weather conditions, flood, vandalism, soiling, misuse, abrasion, improper storage following delivery, rot and/or infestation following delivery, leaks (or similar incidents);
    - Damage caused by water leakages from water outlets or water spillage due to user’s negligence;
    - Defect caused by pests including but not limited to termites, ants, wood borers and rats;
    - Damage caused or contributed to by household animals and misuse by children.

Painting:

Livspace will not be responsible for exact matching of existing colors or textures. Neither can Livspace guarantee that the finish paint samples you selected will exactly match the finish coating.

  • Any claim made in terms of this Warranty shall be made within three (3) days of the consumer discovering any defect, damage or failure which gives rise to a claim within the warranty period.
  • The labor rate will be determined by Livspace and it will be a reflection of the current prevailing market labor rates and the same will not be disputed by You, at any point of time. The labor rate may be determined on the basis of a per sq. ft. rate or on a daily wages rate
  • In coastal areas fading and chalking occur with all surfaces. Within normal limits, this is not considered as a failure or defect.
  • Damage caused to the painted surface due to fire, excessive heat exposure, corrosive agents, abrasive materials or by the customer including without limitation due to rework/fitting work done by the customer after handover.
  • Warranty shall apply if:
    - The overall paint surface area exceeds 500 Sq. ft subject to satisfactory inspection.
    - Make the property accessible to Livspace/Livpreneur authorized representative(s)  to perform the repairs.
    - The replacement paint shall be provided as long as the particular paint code (paint code is necessary) is not discontinued by the manufacturer.
    - Paint failure shall mean any of the following occurrences: i) Film integrity, flaking and peeling of the paint, caused by one coat of paint coming off from another or the paint film coming off from the substrate. ii) Fading of the color shade. iii) Growth of fungus and algae on wall surfaces (spread over a minimum area of 10 sq. feet)
    - The customer has used the entire paint system recommended by Livpreneur. An undercoat of primer along with two coats of putty and 2-3 coats of paint on all surfaces.
  • Warranty shall be void if:
    - Intermittent dripping of water due to the proximity of vegetation or air-conditioning units or any other sources of water leakage like plant pots.
    - Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface.
    - Any paint peeling that is a result of moisture intrusion.
    - The appearance of cracks due to earthquakes or ground movement.
    - Any horizontal surface or any surface that is the result of a structural design that permits moisture to collect. This includes, but is not limited to decks, railings, stairs and porches.
    - Defects arising due to contamination of surface and failure/defects in the structure.
  • This Warranty does not cover:
    - Repairs to the horizontal surfaces or any surfaces that, by virtue of their design, permit moisture to collect. Surfaces include, but are not limited to decks, railings, stairs, porches, roofs, and wood gutters.w- Exact paint match, as environmental conditions will affect the color and finish of all paints over time.
    - Bleeding caused by knots, rust or cedar.
    - Varnished surfaces
    - Cracks in drywall, plaster, or wood.
    - Peeling, blistering or chipping where they are caused by:

(a) Ordinary wear and tear;

(b) Abnormal use or misuse;

(c) Peeling of layers of paint existing prior to the work performed by the Livspace representatives;

(d) Structural defects;

(e) Moisture content of the substrate;

(f) Abrasion, mechanical damage, abuse, or damage resulting from exposure to harmful solids, liquids or gases.

  • The Warranty will not cover any defects arising out of factors out of control of Livspace/Livpreneur, including but not limited to:

(a) Paint failures due to structural defects, moss and other vegetative growth, excessive bird droppings/spitting, damage of paint due to ants & insects, staining due to plant pots;

(b) Natural calamities such as earthquakes, cyclones or other acts of Gods;

(c) Failure or defects in the structure or previous coating;

(d) Vandalism;

(e) Abuse or negligence by the Customer;

(f) Surface with contaminants and not dry;

(g) Normal wear and tear.

Disclaimer of Warranty:

  • This Warranty is the only express warranty made by Livspace and it disclaims all other warranties, express or implied.
  • This Warranty disclaims any liabilities, contracts, tort or otherwise including negligence and strict liability and the Company makes no warranty or merchantability or of fitness for any particular purpose whatsoever.
  • Livspace will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damages to the customer.

False Ceiling (Gypsum):

  • This warranty does not cover labor charges to replace obvious visual defects in the material at time of installation.
  • Livspace excludes and will not be responsible or liable for any special, indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, regardless of the nature or theory of the claim, or for loss of income or profits, damage to any structure, contents or other property, or loss of use.
  • This warranty is not transferable and applies to the original purchaser only.
  • This warranty constitutes the entire obligation of Livspace and there are no other warranties express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for any use or purpose whatsoever. Livspace's liability is limited to that set forth in this warranty.
  • The warranty is not applicable to POP false ceiling.
  • Warranty shall apply if:
    - The overall false ceiling surface area exceeds 150 sq ft, subject to satisfactory inspection of the surface by Livspace’s representative.
    - The problem with the Product is not due to structural movement of the building; movement in, failure of or defects in materials to which the Product is attached or which are attached to it; causes other than normal weather conditions, such as near gale or higher force winds, tornadoes, hail storms, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes or falling objects; immersion in water, or sustained pooling or cascading of water; or fire, vandalism, misuse or abuse; and
    - Livpreneur shall repair and provide labor for re-application of the paint coat, as may be necessary to set right the false ceiling failure in the affected portion only. In case of unavailability of the Livpreneur, Livspace shall ensure that the repair and labor shall be undertaken by Livspace and/or its other authorized representatives or Livpreneures.
    - False ceiling failure shall mean any of the following occurrences:
    i) Board integrity, flaking and peeling of the joint compound or coming off from the substrate.
    ii) Cracks on the surface.
    iii) Growth of fungus and algae on ceiling surfaces (spread over a minimum area of 5 sq. feet).
    - The building on which the Product is installed is maintained with reasonable care.
    - This warranty should not be transferred or assigned to any other person or entity, including but not limited to any subsequent purchaser.
    - The customer has used the entire false ceiling system recommended and executed by Livpreneur. The false ceiling should have been done with the usage of Livspace approved brands and all materials utilized shall be of the same manufacturer. Any mix use of other brands shall make the warranty null and void.
  • Warranty shall be void if:
    - Intermittent dripping of water due to proximity of vegetation or air-conditioning units or any other sources of water leakage or dampness.
    - Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface.
    - Physical damage to the surface with an external force or entity.
    - Defects arising due to failure or defects in the structure to which ceiling is anchored.
    - Failures caused by physical damage, improper operation, unauthorized changes to the Product, and attempt to repair or other natural or man-made disasters.
    - Damage to the Product caused by improper installation or maintenance, exposure to smoke, chemical vapors, fire or foreign or toxic substances.
    - Water or water vapor comes into direct contact with the Product, such as from condensation, leaking pipes, steam or similar sources.
    - This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper installation, or by use contrary to our recommendations, such as use outdoors or on surfaces other than drywall.
    - This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.This warranty does not cover damage or claims to the extent arising from or relating to:

(a) Mold, mildew, algae, fungus, or other conditions involving organic growth;

(b) Installation over structural or framing members that are or which become twisted, bowed, or otherwise distorted;

(c) Damage due to improper installation or building or system design;

(d) Installations in buildings that have not been maintained with reasonable care;

(e) A third-party’s actions, omissions, or negligence;

(f) Impact or pressure damage caused by a person, object, or any other force

Electrical:

  • Warranty shall apply if:
    - The overall electrical work carried out exceeds a value of INR 50,000 subject to no voltage fluctuation or no input power source issue checked by Livspace’s representative.
    - The replacement material will be provided, as long as the particular material is not discontinued by the manufacturer, and labor for re-application, as may be necessary to set right the electrical failure.
    - Throughout this warranty policy document the words "electrical failure" shall mean any of the following occurring, subject to the other conditions stated in this document: i) Electrical short circuit/tripping. ii) Loose contacts in the plugs/switches.
    - The customer has used the entire electrical wiring recommended and laid by Livpreneurs provided the customer had used appropriate appliances in the usage ports/ points.
    - This warranty is conditioned upon normal use and reasonable maintenance of such equipment; prompt written notice of all defects to Livspace's authorized representatives; no repairs or additions have been done except by Livspace authorized representatives; said defect not resulting from misuse, negligence, accident, abnormal wear and tear, and alteration of the original parts or adjustments by customer or third parties or Act of God. 
  • The warranty policy will not cover any defects arising out of factors out of control of Livpreneurs, including but not limited to:
    - Improper power input to the mains.
    - Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface.
    - Electrical failures due to physical damage of conduits, wires, switches and plates.
    - Issues in the power input source.
    - Electrical works have been repaired by any other representative other than the Livpreneur representative.
    - Inappropriate usage of the electrical points and appliances.
  • The replacement cost will include the cost of electrical items including wiring, switches, conduits (if any) and labor required to set right the concerned failure only, at the time of lodgement of claim. 
  • Limitation of liability:
    - This Warranty is exclusive and Livspace disclaims all other express, statutory and implied warranties, including those of merchantability and fitness for any particular purpose. Livspace further disclaims any liability for incidental or consequential damages, including lost or duplicated time, expenses or wages, accruing for any reason whatsoever to Customer, whether such claim is made in contract or in tort or under any warranty or in negligence, indemnity or otherwise.
    - This warranty is non-transferable and is only enforceable by the original purchaser.
    - If Livspace determines that a Product must be replaced, it makes no guarantee that the same make and model will be available.

Plumbing:

  • Warranty shall apply if:
    - The overall plumbing work carried out exceeds a value of INR 50,000 subject to satisfactory inspection by Livspace's representative.
    - Livpreneur will provide replacement/rectification, as long as the particular plumbing material is not discontinued by the manufacturer.
    - Plumbing failure shall mean any of the following occurring: i) Leakage in plumbing or sanitary pipes. ii) Plumbing and sanitary pipe manufacturing defect. iii) Plumbing failure shall not deal with the plumbing fixtures including taps, faucets, nozzles, water closets, showers, angle valves, etc. The customer has used the entire plumbing system installed by Livpreneur.
  • The warranty policy will not cover any defects arising out of factors out of control of Livpreneurs, including but not limited to:
    - Improper quality of water supply to the property.
    - Water penetration due to capillary rise from the ground level, water leakage, seeping and continuous dampness of the surface.
    - Plumbing failures due to physical damage or mishandling.
    - Plumbing works have been repaired by any other representative other than the company representative.
    - Surface with contaminants.
    - The replacement cost includes the cost of plumbing pipes/accessories and labor required to set right the concerned failure only, at the time of claim lodgement.

Limitation of liability:

  • Livspace shall not be liable for any damage resulting from any defect or from any delay to claim the warranty. The consumer must take reasonable steps to mitigate damages.
  • In no event shall Livspace be liable for any special, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages under this warranty agreement. Livspace's entire exclusive liability, whether in contract or tort or otherwise in any way connected to the service provided under the agreement, is limited to the replacement or repair of the work, or at Livspace’s option, a refund of the actual amount paid for the work.

This Warranty does not cover or include any other services category apart from those specifically mentioned herein.

Terms & Conditions:

  • This warranty shall begin on “the commence date” that the consumer telephonically lodges his warranty policy with Livspace by contacting us on +91-91484 84666 and furnishing all the purchase and personal details requested by Livspace. In order for this warranty policy to be valid, the registration needs to be done within three (3) days from the day of handover of the project or the day the customer moves in, whichever is earlier.
  • After settlement of any claim, the warranty period will not start afresh.
  • Livspace/Livpreneur shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damages to the customer. The customer's exclusive and sole remedy under this warranty policy shall be as mentioned here in this clause.
  • Livspace/Livpreneur is not liable to provide any alternative accommodation during any repair work. Customers shall make their own arrangements, if required.
  • The warranty policy shall not cover any defects arising out of factors out of control of Livspace,including but not limited to:
    - Natural calamities such as earthquakes, cyclones
    - Vandalism
    - Acts of God
    - Abuse or negligence by the customer
    - Normal wear and tear
    - Surface with contaminants
    - Failure or defects in the structure or previous coating
    - Any other external factors.
  • Any claim made in terms of this warranty policy shall be made within three (3) days of the consumer discovering any defect, damage or failure which gives rise to a claim.
  • Livspace/Livpreneur reserves the right to carry out inspections and to perform any tests, and may do so either itself or by means of any person nominated by it. Prior to such inspection or testing, the customer shall not be entitled to perform any repairs or remove or tamper with any part of the Product/service.
  • Livspace/Livpreneur shall use its best endeavors to ensure that the repair work is completed as soon as possible, but does not assume liability for delay in this respect.
  • Livspace/Livpreneur, in its sole discretion shall be entitled to:
    - Control/monitor repair which is to be carried out in accordance with all its specifications and instructions.
    - Appoint a contractor and/or approve the contractor appointed by the customer.
  • There are no warranties expressed or implied under law, which extend beyond the terms set out in this warranty document.
  • The customer is expected to provide the painter(s) with basic necessities such as a stool/ladder, bucket and water (to mix the paint) at the site.
  • Any decision regarding repair of the said component (in part or whole) solely lies with the authorized Livspace representative. The decision will be made following an inspection by the representative.
  • Repair(s) are subject to the current Product offerings of styles and construction options within the Livspace Product line, at the time of the claim. If a claim is filed after a Livspace Product becomes obsolete or discontinued, Livspace will replace the affected component with a replacement component of a similar style/make based on availability at the time of the claim.
