DAILY

Your modular kitchen’s daily cleaning schedule includes tips for a clean, hygienic space to cook in.

SINK:

  • Ensure it’s free of garbage and food scraps to keep your plumbing smooth
  • Use nylon scrubbing pads on steel sinks as they do not leave scratches
  • Use mild soap to rinse the sink
  • Use a mixture of water and vinegar to rid the sink of odour and keep it germ-free
  • Avoid chlorine-based cleaning agents as they are corrosive

HOB:

  • Wipe spillage and remove food bits as soon as you are done cooking. This prevents stains from hardening
  • Spray your backsplash with club soda or shaving cream solution to remove oil stains

COUNTERTOP:

  • Wipe down with a disinfectant
  • To hasten cleaning process, use warm water to remove tough stains and fingerprints
  • Do not scrub surface with sharp objects as it can damage the finish
  • Use organic cleaning agents as harsh detergents make surfaces rough or lose its shine. Take extra care for light-colored surfaces

CABINETS:

WEEKLY:

TILES:

  • For coffee or juice stains, use solution of hydrogen peroxide and ammonia in water. Use a toothbrush for stains between tiles
  • For nooks and crannies you cannot reach, use vacuum cleaner

GARBAGE CAN:

  • Clean with hot water, spray with a disinfectant and dry

CABINETS:

  • Empty your cabinets and then dust or mop with a sponge to rid of cooking residue. Leave it open to dry before putting items back
  • Use equal parts of water and vinegar or club soda and lemon juice to keep cabinets spotless

MICROWAVE:

  • To clean outer surface of oven, mix two tablespoons of lemon juice or vinegar with two cups of water
  • To rid of stains on the inside, microwave a bowl of water with a  few lemon slices for 3 minutes, let it rest for half hour and then wipe down

REFRIGERATOR:

  • Before you restock each week, empty your fridge, and wipe clean with a soft cloth
  • Use warm soapy water or equal parts of water and vinegar for stubborn stains on the inside
  • Leave an open box of baking soda or coffee beans to absorb foul smells

RUGS:

  • Wash rugs regularly to prevent breeding of harmful bacteria. Keep an extra set handy

 

MONTHLY:

CABINETS:

APPLIANCES:
