How do we describe a home that has a ‘wow’ element in every corner? Lavish would be one way to define it as no cost has been spared to design this home. Tasteful would be another adjective we could use because despite being extravagant there is no semblance of flashiness in this 4BHk house plan. Yet this home is so much more; words, after all, can convey only so much.
Livspace designer Preetu Muley who worked on this home describes its style as essentially contemporary with pops of accents in every room. She has ensured the 4BHK house plan reflects the suavity of the young couple that owns this home while adding some playful touches to keep their toddler in good spirits.
All we can say is that some homes are just too good to miss and this is one of them. So explore this one of a kind Livspace home without further adieu.
4BHK House Plan: Plush Living Room

The young couple living in this palatial apartment entertains a lot. And just like all parties, people tend to break up into groups as the evening progresses. Hence, the designer Preetu has broken up the seating arrangement in the living area into sections.

There are two grey L-shaped sofas facing each other in this space, and they each have a distinct texture. Also, to break the monotony of grey tones in this 4BHK house plan, the designer has added two bright orange armchairs in the space between the two sofas. The armchairs look so temptingly comfy that all you want to do is sink and never get up!

The enormous solid wood coffee table maintains a semblance of continuity in the living area as it has an organic shape. This contemporary piece has been carved out of a single block of wood and runs fluidly through the length of the seating area.

Although there is an abundance of space in this 4BHK house plan, Preetu thought it best not to crowd it with too many design elements. So, she decided against having a console table or TV unit. Consequently, the media wall has a gigantic TV fitted into a niche. The only other element in this zone is the display-cum-storage unit. This piece is very contemporary in style, particularly inspired by Scandinavian design. Crafted out of marble, brass and matte PU, the unit does not break up the space any further.
4BHK House Plan: A Minted Dining Space

We are slightly partial to the dining area in this 4BHK house plan. In a home full of photo ops, the dining space is the most click-worthy spot. All thanks to the refreshing colour palette used by the designer! The 10-seater dining set is an extravagant affair with a distinctly contemporary touch. The tabletop is a rare uncut marble that has specks of mint green in it. The same shade of green has been picked for upholstering the chairs in leatherette.

The chairs come equipped with brass handles so that the upholstery does not get dirty while handling. The chandelier over the dining unit has an edgy modern look. The bespoke lighting piece gives the space an appropriately industrial touch.

There are two consoles that function as crockery/cutlery units. The units have matte PU finish and brass trimmings. The designer did not want the space to be too solemn or formal. So instead of opting for standard handles, she put in animal figurines to allude to the fact that there is a spirited toddler in the house, who by the way, loves animals.
4BHK House Plan: Concealed & Compact Pooja Room

The pooja room is a plush affair just like the rest of the home but it is hidden from the public parts of the home, standing behind a column. However, it is exceedingly accessible because it adjoins the dining area.
4BHK House Plan: The Bohemian View

While the rest of this 4BHK house plan is full of lavish furnishings and intricate detailing, the main balcony has a breezy bohemian vibe. There are cushioned wicker chairs that resemble sandy shores and a coffee bar that is yet to become functional. The ‘wow’ factor in this balcony is its flooring comprising hand-crafted tiles with rustic patterns.
4BHK House Plan: The Country Kitchen

If you walked into a colonial bungalow on a Southern American estate, this is the kind of kitchen you would expect to encounter. Picking on the fad for white kitchens that is raging now, the designer has executed this country-style kitchen to perfection. It fits the bill due to its sheer size and the typical country groove handles on the cabinets. Its membrane finish ensures a naturalistic look that is complemented by the pristine white quartz countertop.

The kitchen is a mix of warm and cool tones. While the whites have a cooling effect on the interiors of this kitchen, the floor is made up of wooden tiles that offer a warm finish.

The island counter at the centre of the kitchen serves as a breakfast counter and also acts as the focal point of the colossal space. It has a butcher block wooden finish to match the warm tones of the flooring and bar chairs to go along.

There is a gallery wall facing the breakfast counter that beckons your attention with interesting anecdotes about food, family and tidbits of life.
4BHK House Plan: King Size Bedroom

If you are wondering just how big this bedroom is then let us help you out with a tiny detail. The master bedroom was originally two bedrooms. Civil iterations were made while putting the 4BHK house plans into action, and this massive room was divided into two zones. The resting zone has a custom-made four-poster bed with a teal headboard. The solid wood bed measures a whopping 7 ft by 8 ft so that the young parents can co-sleep with their little one every once in a while.

Apart from the bed, three features stand out in this zone. First is the ottoman at the foot of the bed that matches the upholstery of the headboard. The second is a pair of dark wood side tables that match the body of the bed. The third and most interesting is a chest of drawers upholstered in leather that resembles a stack of suitcases piled casually on top of one another.

Facing the bed, there is an interesting TV cabinet. The television set installed within this cabinet can be flipped horizontally to face the bed or the sitting area on the opposite side. This piece also acts as partition for segregating the room into zones.
4BHK House Plan: Seating for a Select Few

Several features stand out in the seating area of master bedroom. Most notably, we have two monochrome patterned couches with a smattering of throw cushions. There is a teal pouf that matches the colour of the bed and a peach pouf that draws its colour from the wardrobe, which is also in this zone.

The poufs, though upholstered and cushioned, can be used as a makeshift coffee table in this area. This space is basically a smaller seating area to have more intimate gatherings with family and close friends.

The 8-door wardrobe has a matte PU finish and a delicate peach colour that pops among the other subdued greys, neutrals and whites in this room.

The seating area adjoins the study section of this room which is quite spectacular. The space by the full-length windows is taken up by a solid white marble ledge, including drawers, which is matched by marble wall panelling.

Cutouts in the wall panel serve as shelves to store books. The chairs are upholstered in rich leather; the smooth texture of marble pitted with the leathery feel of the chairs makes an interesting ensemble for the study area. There is never a dull moment in any corner of this home as the 4BHK house plan is full of tiny surprises!
4BHK House Plan: The Master’s Lookout

The colossal master bedroom is attached to a quaint little balconette. With a lone chair and cosy coffee table, this turns out to be a space for contemplation. What makes this niche interesting is its flooring. The floor for this tiny balcony is made of hand-crafted dot and dash tiles that are inspired from the elemental properties of geometry.
4BHK House Plan: The Bathroom With a View

The master bathroom is a fitting match for the splendour of the bedroom. Wrapped in marble and patterned tiles, it makes you awestruck with its sheer size! So it is only natural that the designer Preetu considered installing a cushioned bench here for the family to sit down and take a moment to admire this work of art that is their bathroom.

Apart from being lavish, the master bathroom is also rather functional. It is teeming with storage that includes wardrobes for clothes, cabinets for linen and towels as well as shelf for toiletries.

We loved the edgy effect of hexagonal tiles that have been painstakingly planned and laid down by the designer. Not only do the tiles add texture to the otherwise smooth surfaces of the bathroom, they look rather artsy too!

4BHK House Plan: Kiddies Day Out!

The toddler in the house has a room to his name and its quite the marvel! The room includes a customised bed with a house-shaped headboard. There is a pull-out bed in the event that the child has friends or cousins stay over. We can actually see the second, smaller headboard next to the bed.

The wall next to the bed is taken up by the wardrobe and there is a bare corner that can be turned into a study unit once the need arises. However, the most interesting feature here is the black strip that runs through the length of the room. It starts as a plain strip on the wardrobe and moves on to become a ledge that can be used to stack toys or play chase with cars.

There are several touches of playfulness in this home including this low cabinet that has a smiling face. It stands out for its novelty and lends a character to the little boy’s room.

4BHK House Plan: The Bathroom Thats Young at Heart

The kid’s bathroom has several lavish features but none of them beat its fresh mint wall colour. While we can identify it as a kids’ bathroom at once, there is nothing inherently kiddish about this colour. Essentially, it is not a bathroom that the child would outgrow in a hurry!

This bathroom has several shelves to keep essentials and toys. It also has a seating ledge, a shower cubicle and a tub. Need we say more?
4BHK House Plan: The Play Arena

The toddler in this home has a room that he can mess up just as much as he wants; his own dedicated playroom. He can host his play dates here as one corner has a table and chairs. In the other end of the room is his treasured kitchen set. There is no ceiling fan in this room because its place has been taken by gymnastic hanging ropes. But the most striking feature in the play room is its flooring. Looks wooden, doesn’t it? It is actually baby safe rubber flooring. As it is rest assured that the child will jump, hang and fall on this floor, the designer has also ensured that he doesn’t hurt himself!

This wall with all the relatable cartoon characters is captivating for any child. However, it is much more than that. If you look closely, you see tiny handles on the animals that can be used to hang toys. This is, in fact, an interactive wall meant to engage with the child.

A large toy cabinet occupies one wall of the room. It is interesting to note that this cabinet is a low one despite there being space for installing a taller cabinet. This is mainly because the family wanted everything in the room to be accessible to the child so that he can become self-reliant. Also, it means he will have to clean up the mess by himself!
4BHK House Plan: Playing Host

The guest bedroom is an interesting mix of shades and textures. It has a comfy looking bed with a curved headboard, perfect for snuggling up against while watching TV. The wooden floor matches the warm beige colour the bed and contrasts with the white wardrobe from the Livspace catalogue.

Preetu has smartly used floor space, which is abundant in this 4BHK house plan, by placing a floor lamp next to the bed. The industrial-inspired lamp with naked bulbs also acts as an accent piece.

However, the main accent piece in the room is the intricate floral patterned wallpaper in rich Victorian reds and blues. The timeless furnishing is from none other than Sabyasachi’s couture!

Have you been wondering what this sound horn is for? This sound horn is sourced from an actual gramophone and fitted right into the console that holds the TV. While it serves only a decorative purpose, it does manage to create a Victorian aura around this space.
4BHK House Plan: Monochrome Maze

The guest bathroom is done up tastefully like the rest of the home. The designer has used a beige colour palette for this bathroom and installed mirror shutters for the cabinets. The tiles on the walls have an interesting fluid shape that adds texture to the space.
“It would be fair to call this home a dream project because of the sheer volume of space and also how friendly the family was. Not only did they give me a free hand but also trusted me at every step. They let me experiment with a plethora of materials and styles. The result is for everyone to see and dream about!”
